Soles are made from lightweight fibreglass / Texon mix to give comfort combined with pedal power and impact resistance and durability are also addressed with a toe bumper and contoured heel. The inner sole is EVA backed for comfort.

There are also ballistic textile inlays in the key areas, so you would be unlucky to suffer any penetration into the shoe from external sharp objects. The rubber tread pattern is aggressive and also sheds mud well.

Where appropriate, the uppers feature mesh panels and polymer coated split leather to give breathability.

Fastening is by means of three wide Velcro hook and loop straps to give a high level of adjustability.

The sole uses fibreglass reinforced nylon plate and is quite broad to give plenty of toe room, resulting in a comfortable cycling shoe that won't induce fatigue. Upper is PVC coated leather with stretch meshed panels, allowing plenty of ventilation and the tongue is padded for added comfort.

Fastening is by 3 Velcro hook and loop straps with offset on the closure to avoid pressure points.

As its a recreational shoe, Shimano have also added a reflective detail on the heel to help in low light conditions and there is a grippy rubber sole to give good walking characteristics.

The Shimano M076 is SPD compatible.

With a breathable mesh and coated synthetic leather upper you get an easy and secure shoe useful for long rides in comfort. The outer sole is a lightweight dual compound for good traction off the bike with a Texon midsole, which combination gives a lightweight but supporting platform for pedalling power. The inner sole is EVA backed which adds to the support and comfort.

The tread is designed with an aggressive pattern for shredding mud and keeping you stable.

Fastening is with asymmetric lower straps and a high top strap for precise adjustment giving the Shimano M122 shoe plenty of adaptability to different feet shapes. These are Velcro-style offset hook-and-loop straps.

The shoe has recessed cleats, SPD compatible as you might expect and its easy to remove the sole plate to fix your cleats in. The tread is a rubber based trekking style to give good grip off road or for general walking.

Construction of the uppers uses mesh panels of nylon to help feet breathe, combined with synthetic leather, with the laces area reinforced for protection and strength.

Fastening is by combined hook and loop strap in Velcro and full laces to give a snug fit thats also comfortable both on and off the bike.

The boot has a high ankle design in leather, plus a splashguard which also keeps out debris, combined with water sealing on the PU coated body and seam sealing for best weather protection.

It also has an important feature in that its wider than normal to allow for the use of thicker socks.
Shimano have also added the feature of high visibility reflectors on both the rear and side of the shoe.

Fastenings use off set straps to avoid pressure points on your foot.

Although the sole is lightweight, its also designed for great traction and for allowing mud to clear easily. The toe and heel are also reinforced.

Its a 2 bolt SPD fixing.
