Northwave Cycling Shoes

This range of shoes represent Northwaves top road cycling shoes and there are three main models in the Aerlite range: the Aerlite 3, 5 and SBS.

These incorporate a series of design features aimed at improving the comfort of the shoe while not compromising performance. In particular, with the Northwave Aerlite range, the company has concentrated specifically on breatheability and the adaptability of the shoe to the cyclists foot.

The upper structure of the shoe has been anatomically designed to be compatible with many foot shapes and the inside allows adjustment of the grip to give effective pressure on the pedal.

Within the Aerlite cycling shoes is an aeration system and a special wooden arch support, both aimed at helping performance by limiting overheating of the foot.

These are winter cycling boots and the Northwave Fahrenheit shoes use Gore Tex to give a technical high performance solution to the demands of cycling in rain, sleet, snow, mud or whatever else the weather throws at you.

These boots use Gore Tex lining to give a high performance technical shoe for winter use that keeps feet dry and warm even when cold winds are whistling past your feet.

The Fahrenheit shoe uses Northwave's speed lace system to allow secure and rapid fastening which is held in place by a single convenient Velcro strap.

Its a shoe for dedicated cyclists who want to be out in all weathers, still able to perform without suffering discomfort in the coldest and most taxing conditions. In particular, the upper is designed to give excellent protection against the elements.

This is one of the popular mountain bike shoes and the Northwave Lizzard is a technical shoe that also places an emphasis on comfort. Its available in the Pro MTB and Pro SBS MTB versions.

The upper structure of the shoe uses the Airflow System mesh which allows the foot to breathe while working hard and there's a 3 strap fastening for security.

The Northwave Lizzard also uses various technology in its sole with a carbon base, rubber tread and the Jaws tread design made to shed mud and debris efficiently, while providing excellent grip.

The Luzzard SBS version uses the SBS ratchet type closure with two straps.

This cycling shoe is specific for all terrain, freeriding for walking and biking together, but the Northwave Mission also has plenty of technical design.

The upper is suited to riders who cycle in mud and dust on bumpy trails, so the toe and heel are well protected and the shoe closes to keep your foot away from damage. The sole includes anti clogging tread design.

The Vibram sole technology is used on the Northwave Mission to give great on-bike performance with easy walking when you can't get any further in the saddle.

The shoe is compatible with all major SPD pedals and has a speed lace closure system with Velcro.

If you're mountain biking and enjoy competing on muddy, dirty trails, then the Northwave Raptor shoe could be ideal. Its available in standard and SBS fastening systems.

Even in harsh conditions, the Raptor's 3D structure helps to stabilise and protect your foot from the elements and the sole is carbon reinforced, which gives the shoe good adaptability to all uses, whether in competition or heavy leisure use.

With a 3 strap closure, the Northwave Raptor gives a firm, close fit designed to even out pressure and the anatomic footbed is contoured to give the best arch support under pressure. There's also Northwave's Ultra-Y heel, which is meant to grip your heel well under maximum strain - for instance when on steep hard climbs.

The sole is carbon reinforced and uses the Jaw design for all terrain grip, while the upper uses the Airflow system to maintain comfort and hygiene. The Raptor is SPD compatible.

This is a carbon road shoe suitable for both training and racing and the Northwave Vertigo is available in standard and SBS fastenings and is both functional and technical in its performance. Its suitable for those cyclists who want good comfort combined with technical performance in competition.

The upper structure uses the Airflow system to achieve good breathing for the foot, while using triple Velcro straps and an injected heel counter to keep everything firmly stable under the pressure of hard cycling.

In the SBS version of the Vertigo, you get the accuracy of the closure system allowing you to get your foot into maximum comfort during your rides. This cyling shoe is compatible with most SPD, Time and Look pedals.

They also incorporate a mix of carbon and fibreglass in the sole so its not too hard, combined with Northwave's Ultra Y heel cup to keep the foot in a comfortable natural position.
